Artist bio
As a little girl, Savannah built tree houses, grew vegetables, and rode her bike around the sprawling streets of suburban Brisbane, Australia. Sometime around the age of 4, a violin bit her. Whilst not fatal, the incident did leave her with a strange mark on her neck and a long-standing love of all things string. Orchestral violinist, arranger, collaborator and composer, Savannah glides between solo shows and collaboration with playwrights, musicians and filmmakers, carving a sound-world both informed by and in defiance of her classical training. Her scores can transform from visceral scrapings on open to strings to full scale explosive emotional moments in the blip of an eardrum.
Composition projects include collaborating with Robot Koch on the score for Polish feature, Filip, directed by Michal Kwiecinski, the score for Death and Ramen, directed by Tiger Ji, (starring Bobby Lee and Matt Jones), the scores for Space Womb and Waking, directed by award-winning South African director, Tristan Holmes, the score for the play, Bauer, by award-winning playwright, Lauren Gunderson, Chef’s Table - composing and assisting Emmy winner, Duncan Thum, an installation for Art Lab Berlin in collaboration with Berlin based VJ, A-li-ce, and a commission by Synchromy Music for string quartet and piano, premiering in March 2026.
Savannah has released several artist projects co-composed with award-winning German producer and composer, Robot Koch - ‘Particle Fields’ (placements in worldwide Sony TV ad. and multiple TV shows) and ‘Otherwhere’ - recorded and released on the Neue Meister Label with the German Chamber Orchestra, performed live at Reeperbahn Festival. She has a solo album of alt-classical pieces composed for solo violin and Ableton, “Falling Into Light” poised for release in Summer 2026.
Savannah is a graduate of both the USC screen scoring program, the 2022 Sundance Composer’s Lab and a Churchill Fellow recipient.
